Charles Arthur Battles Sr.

Charles A. Battles, Sr. was born to Claiborne Battles and Nancy C. Battles. (Preceded him in death is his parents Claiborne and Nancy C. Battles, his In-Laws Jonah (Pete) and Esther V. Allen, brothers-i n- laws; Jonathan (Sunny) Allen, Harvey Allen Sr., Great- grandson; Akeem Ruffin, Great-granddaughter; Angel Jones, his son; Charles A. Battles, Jr. and his wife; Dorothy D. Battles.

Charles was baptized at an early age growing up in Calvert, Texas he left Texas to join the United States Marine Corp. and met and married Dorothy D. Allen. Three children were born to this union; Charles A. Battles, Jr, Damon C. Battles and Cathy A. Ferguson. Charles joined the Los Angeles Police Department in 1958. When he retired from the Police Department, he went into Real Estate and Charles and Dorothy decided to retire and move to Hanford, California to live with their son Damon and his wife Margaret.

He leaves to mourn his passing his children; Damon and daughter-in-law Margaret Battles and Cathy and son-in-law John B. Ferguson, his grandchildren Leticia, Deprea, Randal, Avril, Charles III, Amber, Ronda, La’Ronda and their spouses, Jeff, Jonetta, Clyde, Shalimar, Randy and his great-grandchildren; Dawntesha, Michael, Martel, Marshae, Travis, Ja’Pree, Tecumseh, James ,Taron, Randy III, Demantee, Angelo, Shamon, Clyde, Avril, Ava, Chance, Charles IV, Damon, Alipsicia, Janius, Jamerius, Elijah and Azia And Ronda Baker he would always call daughter-n-law. His In-laws Gregory Sr. and Teresa Allen, Francine and Edward Hyman, Anthony Sr. and Janice Allen, Gloria and Bobby Sr., Savannah, Kevin Sr. and a host of relatives.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 12 noon at Deeper Life Ministries; 1390 E. 6th Street, Beaumont, CA 92223.
