Bill was born August 1946 to Anthony and Simone Liquori in Springfield, MA. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1964 and the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1968. While at UMass, he joined the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force in 1968, starting a 30-yearcareer as a proud B-52 pilot.
He met his wife, Patricia Liquori (Raimondi) at Cathedral High School and they married in 1968. Bill and Pat went on to have two children: Bill Jr. and Mike. Bill and Pat have lived a wonderful life of serving others. After 30 years of military service to the United States including multiple deployments during the Vietnam War, Desert Shield / Storm and Just Cause, he retired as a Colonel and they settled in Yorktown, VA. Bill continued to serve military families as a Financial Advisor for First Command Financial Services, retiring for the final time in 2017. Bill was an active member of the Catholic church everywhere he lived, most recently at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic community at Langley Air Force Base. Bill was a member of the Catholic Men of the Chapel, an Altar Server, and Lector. He was most proud of he and Pat’s service to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, where they faithfully prepared and welcomed new members to the Roman Catholic faith for over a decade. He was also a life member of the Air and Space Forces Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Military Officers Association of America, and the Order of the Daedalians.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Simone, and his brother Angelo. He is survived by his wife Pat, children Bill & Amy and Mike & Nicola, brothers Anthony and Gary, sister Phyllis, and five grandchildren: TJ, Greg, Kayla, Alexa, and Joe.
Services will be held at Langley AFB main chapel (180 Dodd Blvd, Langley AFB) on Friday, June 14th, with a Rosary at 1:30 and funeral mass at 2:00. There will be a reception following the mass from 3:30-5:30 at The Chesapeake Senior Living Community (955 Harpersville Road, Newport News) in the Chesapeake Room.
