Wes Holt

Wes Holt, 83, born in Hartford, Tennessee and resident of Poquoson for over 60 years, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012. He was a local mechanic and retired from the city of Poquoson. He loved bluegrass music and working on his cars. His humor and storytelling will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Polly Holt and his brother Dave Holt. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Ina Holt; his daughters, Linda Caldwell (Dennis) and Rita Byrd (Charles); granddaughter Ashley Byrd; brothers Charles and Pete Holt; and his sister, Ruth Laymance.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 30th from 6 until 8:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the funeral home by Rev. Ben Topping. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
