Virginia Williams Deaton

Virginia Williams Deaton, age 78, of Hampton, Virginia passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Virginia was a native of Pearisburg, Virginia, but she spent the majority of her life in Hampton Roads, and she spent the last 40 years in Hampton.

She was a bank teller at BB&T Bank, and she retired in April 2006 after many years of service. Her retirement afforded her more time with her loving family, and with Liberty Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member.

Virginia is preceded in rest by her husband, Eugene Deaton; and one son, Stacy Deaton. Left to cherish her memory are two sons: Jason Deaton (Trisha) and Eugene Deaton Jr. (Shannon); one daughter, Shannon Leigh Walker (Selustiano); eight grandchildren: Joey Deaton, Eric Deaton, Shane West (Emily), Chase Deaton, Victoria Walker, Kyle Deaton, Seth Deaton, and Tristian Walker.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666, followed by entombment at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA 23666.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
