Tanner was born in Stamford, CT on November 20, 1995 and is survived by his father, Matthew Romanos; mother, Shannon McMahon; sister, Kailey Romanos; son, Finnian Romanos and his grandparents, Paul and Charlene Romanos and Michael and Linda McMahon.
Tanner had so many amazing accomplishments in his short life; he was a graduate of Morgan High School and a member of the varsity golf team which won a state championship - the first in the high school’s history. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force where he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. As Staff Sergeant, he was not only a leader and crew chief, but a mentor and friend to younger Airmen as well. Tanner was also the squadron’s motorcycle safety instructor.
Tanner’s greatest accomplishment and proudest moment was being a loving, devoted, and nurturing father to his 4-year-old son, Finnian Matthew, his “little man” and the light of his life. Finn was blessed to have him and they shared a truly special bond.
Tanner was a lover of cars and motorcycles and could teardown and rebuild just about anything - a mechanical genius. Tanner left his mark on the world through his kindness, sense of humor, and open heart.
He wore his heart on his sleeve and could carry on a conversation with anyone, anywhere, at any time. He was a listener and confidant to so many - a true gift. Tanner touched the lives of all different people and made the world a better place. He will be missed by so many.
Services for Tanner will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, located at 2551 N. Armistead Ave. Hampton, VA 23666 from 5:00 - 6:30 PM with a celebration of life ceremony beginning at 6:30 PM.
