She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Dickson, Jr. Surviving members of her family include her children, Richard W. Dickson and wife Karen S. White of Rockwood, TN, Jane A. Dryden of Portsmouth, and Carol D. Moore of Hampton; grandchildren, Jennavieve M. Dickson and Jamie A Dryden; great grandson, Jaiden; brother, Raymond King and wife Margaret; and two nieces.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at 2:00 in Parklawn Memorial Park.
