OBITUARY
Ronnie Lee Dalton
April 3, 1957 – December 28, 2023

Ronnie was a native of Hampton, Virginia for over thirty nine years , and a resident of White Marsh, Virginia for 10 years and recently a resident of Smithfield Virginia for 17 years. He graduated from Kecoughtan High School in 1975.
He started working a part time job at King Street Auto Parts while attending high school. He then worked at a local dealership for a short period before joining his father in starting Dalton’s Radiator Repair in 1976 later known as Dalton’s Auto Repair. He sold the business in 2004 and worked as parts manager at POMOCO Auto, Advantage Auto Store and finally Advanced Auto Part (formally Carquest). He retired in 2019 so he could enjoy new adventures with his family.
Ronnie was proceeded in death by his father Reuben Dalton, his mother Mary Dalton and his sister Shirley Rhea.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Paula and children Barry Dalton (Tara) and Pamela Moore (Andrew), and three beautiful grandchildren: Kayleigh June, Austin Ryan, and Adalynn Mae. He is also survived by his sister Jean Etheridge, brother Larry Dalton (Kristine), his Uncle Carroll Jennings (Shirley) and nephews Brian Etheridge and Travis Dalton and nieces Deanna and LaRaine Etheridge, Sheila Clark, Paula Delph, Debra Rhea, Lindsey Mullen, and Wanda McSparen.
Ronnie‘s passion was his family and he enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. He was a much loved PopPop who played on the monkey bars, slides and board games. He also had a lifelong passion for The Beatles. He was an instant fan at the age of six when he heard their songs on the radio in 1963. A close second was the Boston Redsox then Green Bay Packers.
There’s a big hole in the family’s heart that will never be filled, and he will be greatly missed by all.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Riverside Hospice Care Team for their excellent care & support for Ronnie.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton, Virginia. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at 10:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park.
