Richard Dennis Wilmoth, Sr.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and in 1986 retired from the Department of Defense as a HQTAC Comptroller. After retirement he loved to travel, taking road trips with wife and family members, especially sister-in-laws, Shirley and Linda. He also enjoyed playing golf with friends and family.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wilmoth; mother, Evie Wilmoth; sister, Faye Hinson; and grandson, Wesley Dennis Watts. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cora R. Wilmoth; son, Rick Wilmoth; and daughter, Deborah Ann (Debbie) Wilmoth.

A celebration of Richard’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Elkin Funeral Home, Elkin, N.C.
