Richard Milton McClellan

Richard M. McClellan, 72, passed away at his home in Hampton, VA on Sept. 12, 2016, where he lived most of his adult life. Born in Pittsburgh, PA he was preceded in death by his mother and father, Charles and Mary Louise McClellan. Richard was a proud Air Force Vietnam veteran who retired from Newport News Shipbuilding in 2005.

Leaving numerous cherished memories, he is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; daughter, Jennifer Daszkowski and her husband, Jack; son, Ryan McClellan and his wife, Sally; sisters, Charlotte Jennings (Jack) and Mary Lee Davis (Donald); sister-in-law, Linda Bodnar (Dan); and grandchildren, Jack and Charles Daszkowski, and Max and Simone McClellan. Richard’s greatest joy was his grandchildren and children, whom he loved passionately, supporting them in all of their endeavors.

The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 16, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
