Peggy Ann Keefer

Peggy was predeceased by both of her parents: Carlyle and Mable Proffitt; and by her brother: Bobby Gene Proffitt. She is survived by her loving children: sons, Danny Carlyle Corliss, Brian Harvey Keefer, and Bruce Wayne Keefer (Liz); her daughters: Barbara Ann Christiansen (Chris) and Tammy Lynn Warren (Jeff); five grandchildren: Daniel "Danny" Ray Corliss, Michael Ryan Vaughn, Mark W. Christiansen, Jennifer Leigh Strickland, Gabrielle Ann Warren, Brett Wayne Keefer, Evan Sean Keefer, and by many great-grandchildren; her dear sister, Mary Lou Conklin (Bruce) and brother, Don Wayne Proffitt, both of North Carolina; her Aunt Peggy Douglas of Gloucester; many cousins, nieces, and a nephew; her dear friend: Sunday Ivey, who was always there to help out and spend time just chatting away; and her cherished cats, of which she often spoke and even shared her bed with.

Peggy was a devoted mother who worked hard to provide for her children. Peggy was known for her quick wit and her outgoing sense of humor, her love for animals, and her love for family time. Sunday dinners were always her absolute favorite. Peggy was an amazing person and always saw humor in everyday life. We were lucky to have her in our lives. Heaven is now full of laughter!

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666. Following the visitation, a memorial service will commence at 2:00 PM.
