Pat has been gone so long.  I discovered his obituary several years ago and I still think of him from time to time.

My sympathy goes out to his family.  I met Pat at Tyndall AFB in 1977.  There were times that we were close.  He taught me how to slalom ski.  We would get up early and head to the beach.

He had a MG Midget and a ski boat. Somebody had to pull the boat for him. The boat trailer had a flat. We slid the boat in to the grass.  I turned around backwards in the passenger seat of the Midget and held the trailer tongue.  We pulled the trailer to the base gas station to air up the tire.  Pat was a fun guy. 

I am fortunate to have known him.

I spent more time with Pat for about 10 years than anyone else in my life. We worked together, played tennis, basketball, rode bikes, everything. My heart knows that Pat is waiting to show me that new tennis shot that he perfected, one day my brother. Peace be with you.

Pat and I were best of friends for over 10 years. I was proud to have served with Pat in the Air Force, and probably spent more time with Pat than my own family. Pat was a man's man, integrity and honor, he was a great example for every father, dad, brother & friend. I had the pleasure of eating dinner with Pat, his son Matt, Travis Fagg, and Bob Payjack. It would be our " last supper " with Pat. Gone way to soon, you've made a huge difference in this world and I'm sure in the next. Peace be with you my brother, I love you. 

I worked for Pat with the 523 AMU at Cannon AFB back around 1990-92.  He was a great boss and an even greater friend, always ready to lend a helping hand! There are so many memories about Pat that we will always treasure:
  
The Wedding!  What a special day that we were invited to participate in.

The Boat ride - One of our first boat rides with him when we became airborne - being with Pat was being airborne.  He was larger than life and was able to share that with friends.  

The red wine and black bread diet - need I say more, but if I ever write a cook book that will be the title!

The Father - How proud he was of his kids - of you, Matt, and the man you have become, and also of you, Shelley - such a good mom!  How he cared so much for Rebecca and Katie and how he so enjoyed being with his grandsons: Lucas, Parker, and Conner.

The Lucky Dog - Pat said that he was such a "lucky dog" because of you, Ann!

The dogs - Reno, Dino, Lucy - and let's not forget that "barking cat" - JR.  Pat had such a big heart.

The friend - the best neighbor and friend that anyone could ever hope to have.  

The son - Donna and Eugene you raised a wonderful son!  Pat often told stories of growing up and loved to talk about his mom and dad.

He will always be with us in spirit.  I don't think that we can ever have another party or get together without thinking of him, so he will always be a part of us.  We will miss him very much and we feel that we are the "lucky dogs" having him as our friend.

I was heading out of town when I opened the paper at the airport on Sunday morning..... was so deeply saddened and shocked to see that Pat had past away. I worked with Pat at Pomoco and he was a joy to be around.  He made everyone that came in contact feel so special.  He in him self was just that.. "special"! He will be greatly missed but is now at peace and making a place for all of us to come one day.  God bless all that are feeling the saddness that comes along with these tough times. And God bless and be with Pats wonderful family!  Keep his warm smile and memories close at heart! He will be greatly missed but fondly remembered!

Just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you today. I arrived in Vermont and the stories of our trip to the car show started. We all laughed and smiled about how good a time we had because Pat was there. I found a picture that brought a smile to my face and wanted to pass it on. Mind you there weren't many pictures because Pat's competitive juices made the go karts seem  more like bumper cars, and sometime during the race, the camera broke:) Regardless, we will be celebrating his birthday tonight up here remembering how Great a Guy he was and how lucky we were get that time with him. We wanted you to know, while we are away, all of you are in our thoughts and we love you.

We are so sorry to learn of the death of your dear Pat. We were away visiting Daniel in California for the past rtwo weeks and only learned of his death today.
Pat was a special person, loved by everyone on August Drive for his generousity, fun loving spirit, and genuine good heart.
We will always remember the sound of his motor starting up on a Sunday morning to go to Bubba's for breakfast, as well as his help after hurricane Isabel and the fun we had at neighborhood parties.

I knew Pat from our 523rd FS days at Cannon.  I was a young airman and always looked up to him.  He always looked at acted professionally, but he sure knew how to have fun and make the long hours fly by.  My condolences to his family; he will always be a fond part of my 523rd FS memories.

I worked with Pat while stationed in New Mexico and briefly here at Langley just before he retired. Kept in touch via visits to Bass Pro or at breakfast when he would come over by boat to Poquoson. Always the outgoing guy and great person. He will be missed.

We were so shocked to hear about Pat.  We first met Pat in the service department at Pomoco and then caught up with him again when he moved on to BassPro years later. He was such a fantastic guy. He will be missed by many. You two shared a special love...one that will never fade away. May the Lord give you peace in knowing that some day you'll be together again. I met pat at my 1st Tracker Dealer meeting.  We became friends & always managed to sit together, work together & have laughs together!  He was also a great help to me when I moved to Richmond to open the new store.

  No words will ever be able to express feelings I had for Pat.  He was an amazing boss and dear friend.  He was the sort of guy who shaped the lives of others and I am no exception.  Pat, you will be deeply missed, but know that I will cherish every memory we shared.  I am a better man for having known you!  The impact you had on my life has made me the man I am today and for that I am eternally grateful!  My sincerest condolences to you, Ann, and your entire family.  Pat will never be forgotten.

Ann,   Although I only knew Pat for a short time, I considered him my friend.  He was the kind of guy you just liked to hang out with.  I know he was a good man, husband, father, and grandfather.  He will surely be missed by a whole lot of people.  Cherrish the time you had with him and the memories you two made together.

Pat was a great neighbor and a good friend.  You could always depend on Pat to help you out and he would always do it with a smile and a laugh.  I never saw Pat without a smile and you could depend on him to make you laugh even when the situation was bad.  Even during hurricane Isabel, he was having fun kayaking around picking up fire wood.  I will miss you Pat and my love goes out to Ann, Diane, Shelly, Matt and the rest of Pat’s family.

I saw pat MANY months ago at the car wash on Hwy 17 and then learned of his bout with cancer, I said I was going to stasy in touch and call but kept on pocrastinating, now I missed the opportunity, I first met Pat while ion the 27FS at Langley (F-15s) we did numerous tours together best of which were the 2 times to Saudi Arabia, what great memories, pat GODS speed my friend!!!!!!!

When i met you three years ago at bass pro and you sold me my first boat then and there i relized you were someone i could call on if i ever needed help.

you didnt just sell me a boat you sold me a friendship i knew would last forever and that meant more than buying a boat.

you went out of your way to invite me to go to a fishing tournament and you got me hooked.the hours we spent talking about fishing at bass pro has been something i will never forget.

i was sad to hear you were fighting for your life and hoped the day would never come that i would never be able to spend those special moments talking with you. well when im on that big boat you will always be in my thoughts and i know you will be guiding to me the the big one out there in the water. 

my prayers are with your family and i want them to know how much you inspired me.

Pat was a very special man and a good friend.  We first met while he was at the Pomoco Chrysler dealership.  Our professional relationship quickly became one of friendship. Pat and I worked together at Bass Pro.  We shared a common bond both being air force retirees.  We told lots of war stories and always found someone we both knew even though we didn't know each other while in service.  He was a good man and always seemed to do the right thing.
