Pamela graduated from Hampton High School, attended LaCrosse Presbyterian Church in Hampton, and was a member of Laureate Beta Omicron of Beta Sigma Phi. She volunteered regularly for various charitable organizations, to include Meal on Wheels, but she devoted her life to being a Family Maker.
Pamela was preceded in rest by her son, Matthew Burgess; sister, Sandy Wheeler; and parents, Dr. and Mrs. Randall J. Foley. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth D. Burgess; two sons, Jason Burgess and wife, Shelly, and Brandon Burgess and wife, Ellen; daughter-in-law, Corlista Burgess; ten grandchildren, Kendyl, Kamryn, Kallie, Nolan, Sydney, Julia, and Matthew Burgess and Joshua, Jackson, and Madison Bornhoft; sister, Patricia Foley Meeker; niece, Amy Wheeler Bornhoft; nephews, Doug Wheeler and Randy Meeker.
A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
