Nancy Lou Shrader, 62, born to Charles & Betty Willard in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania on November 16th, 1956. She was a devoted wife to U.S Navy Veteran, Roy A. Shrader, for 38 years, and beloved mother to two daughters, Ashley N. Shrader of Grandview, Virginia, and Stephanie A. White of Oviedo, Florida.
Nancy was a devoted nana to her grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Charlie, Savannah, and Taylor. She devoted over twenty-five years to Hampton City Schools where she displayed and devoted her passion to children. She believed that every child could be great. Nancy was a fighter, a prayer warrior, and succumbed to the Lord’s calling on June 26th, 2019 at Sentara Leigh Hospital. Nancy loved hard, but she prayed harder, she was a woman of faith, and always sacrificed for her family. Nancy always loved the quote, “Sorry looks back, worry looks around, but faith looks up,” and she definitely looked up.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Autism Speaks Foundation, to help support her passion for finding treatment options for those affected by this disorder, including one of her of very own grandchildren.
A ‘Celebration of Life’ service will be held at the Fort Monroe Gazebo (Continental Park Gazebo, located at Intersection of Ingalls and Fenwick Road, Fort Monroe, VA 23651) on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 from 1700-1800 for friends and family.
In the style of our beloved Nancy, her family requests that you bring your own lawn chair or blanket, and a memory to share.
