Nancy was born in Campbell County, Virginia on August 31, 1938, to Willie and Fleecie Scott. She moved to the Peninsula at an early age and was a graduate of York High School. She married Frank Cooper Fields, Sr. in 1958, and they were happily married 49 years until Cooper passed away in 2007. She spent her time at home, raising her sons, was employed at High's Ice Cream, Shoney's, and Woolworth's before retiring.
Nancy was Survived by her sons, Roy Fields, Frank Fields Jr. (Sandy), and Doug Fields (Linda); sister Mary Ann Johnston, brother Richard Scott (Diane); grandson Frank Fields III (Samantha), great-grandson Landon Fields, step-grandchildren Brandon Klock (Elizabeth), and Kaicee Klock, and step-great-grandchildren Katie Klock, and Jaxson Klock.
