She was born on January 29, 2007 in Newport News, VA, the daughter of Acton and Joyce Ryner.
At an early age, Lindsay attended summer camp at Hampton University for several years where she learned how to use an eye gaze computer to better communicate. She was also a member of the Girl Scout Daisies of Hampton, VA.
Lindsay was a 10th grader at Phoebus High School where she was on the honor roll. She enjoyed interacting with her classmates and she excelled in her favorite subject, math.
Lindsay enjoyed spending time with her family, attending school and going on family vacations. She visited Disney World, numerous aquariums and loved going to zoos. One of her most memorable moments was meeting all the princesses at Disney World. She was a prissy teenager who loved being pampered and getting her nails and toes polished.
Lindsay will be most remembered for being so courageous and brave fighting an unforgiving illness. She was a loving child who could light up a room with her bright eyes. In Lindsay’s short time here, she was able to meet some of the most wonderful people that assisted her and her family throughout this journey.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sadie Curry; paternal grandparents, John and Ivenia Ryner.
Lindsay leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted parents, Acton and Joyce Ryner; Godmother, Jessica Burke of Williamsburg, VA; sister, Alanna Ryner of McDonough, GA; brothers, Lennard Ryner (Louisa) of Washingtonville, NY, Jonathan Ryner of San Antonio, TX, Acton Ryner Jr. of Orlando, FL and Andre Ryner of St Croix, USVI; grandfather Teal Curry of Dallas, TX; aunts, Shawn Curry of Dallas, TX, Cheryl Ryner of Jacksonville, FL, Jennifer Ryner of Haverstraw, NY, Geraldine Collins of Ft.
