Linda Carol Reese Evans

Linda Carol Reese Evans, age 66, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014. After a long battle with congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and other health issues over the last 2 ½ years, Linda succumbed to the ailments, and went home to be with the Lord.

Linda was a native of North Carolina and a resident of Hampton for 55 years. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Nashville, TN.

Linda was preceded in death by her brother, John Reese; parents, Nell and Thomas Reese, Sr.; and daughter, Angela Manning. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert Evans; brother, Thomas Reese, Jr. and wife, Sallie; daughter, Bonnie Dingmann and husband, Nick; son, Jesse Evans and wife, Katy; and grandchildren, Robert Smith, Lucas Smith, John Dingmann, Mark Dingmann, and Hailey Dingmann.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Buddy Jarrell officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
