

Mr. Johnson served in the Army Air Corp in WWII. He was a Master Mason with St. Tammany Lodge in Hampton since July, 1957, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church since 1953. Johnny retired from Holloman Pontiac in 1984 as an auto body repair and mechanic foreman after 30 years of service.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jasper and Lula Bell Carter Johnson; his wife of 55 years, Adah Ruth Johnson; 3 sisters; and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Johnson and her husband, Ron of Smithfield; son, Robert Johnson and his wife, Kathy of New Orleans, LA; 3 grandchildren, Scott McKeel and wife, Stacey and Jerry McKeel and wife, Shaina, both of York County, and Lindsay Johnson of New Orleans, LA; 2 great-grandchildren, Jason and Lauren McKeel of Poquoson; 3 step-great-grandchildren, Taylor and Brice Duncan and Hunter Gayle of York County; sister, Lillie M. Vars of Sunset Beach, NC; 4 nieces; 4 nephews; 3 step-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be private. The family will receive friends at a reception on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at noon at Liberty Baptist Church.
