Ken graduated from Hampton High School, attended LaCrosse Presbyterian Church in Hampton. Ken enjoyed spending his time with family and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.
Ken was preceded in rest by his best friend and wife Pamela Burgess and son, Matthew Burgess. He is survived by two sons, Jason Burgess and wife, Shelly, and Brandon Burgess and wife, Ellen; daughter-in-law, Corlista Burgess; ten grandchildren, Kendyl, Kamryn, Kallie, Nolan, Sydney, Julia, and Matthew Burgess and Joshua, Jackson, and Madison Bornhoft; sister, Patricia Foley Meeker; niece, Amy Wheeler Bornhoft; nephews, Doug Wheeler and Randy Meeker.
A celebration of Ken’s life was held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 24, 2019 at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
