After several years of declining health, he died peacefully with his beloved wife Hyun Suk Kim, his three children and his five grandchildren by his side.
Jong Ho was born in South Korea on December 26, 1942. He was the third eldest child out of seven. Jong Ho and Hyun Suk got married on April 10, 1972 and raised three children--Su Jin, Jung Geun, and Su Hyun. He worked diligently as a policeman and businessman in South Korea to give his family everything he could, and was proud to see all of his children through college and graduate school. In 1990, Jong Ho accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. By the grace of God, Jong Ho spent the rest of his life serving the Lord.
In 1999, he was able to permanently move to Virginia with his wife. He was an upstanding and loved member of the Young Kwang Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife Hyun Suk, eldest daughter Su Jin and her husband David Yoo of Cypress, CA, his son Jung Guen and his wife Jung Ah Woo of South Korea, his youngest daughter Su Hyun and her husband Chang Joon Ko of Midlothian, VA, his sister-in-law Hye Suk and her spouse Benjamin Ellis and his five grandchildren: Christine, Grace, Daniel, Ju Wan, and Ye Ram.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 1, 2020, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Chapel, officiated by Pastor Hwang of Young Kwang Presbyterian Church.
