Joan Neeley

Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Jack Neeley; father, John W. Townsend; mother, Martha Evans Townsend; and sisters, Claire Rowe and Daisy Ellen. Survivors include daughter, Linda Jones and husband, Don; grandchildren, Jennifer Williams and husband, Steve, and Katelyn Jones; great-grandchildren, Kyndel Williams and Blake Williams; brother, John Townsend; sister, Loretta Huddleston; and several caring nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 7, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Parklawn Memorial Park.

Special thanks to all who shared Joan’s last difficult weeks; especially Dr. Kruger and the caring staff of the 5th floor at Sentara Careplex.
