Jerry Wayne Wilkerson

Jerry Wayne Wilkerson died on November 15, 2011 at the age of 59 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Newport News, Virginia on November 16, 1951 to the late Charles Hudson, Jr., and Ruby Marshall Wilkerson. With the exception of four years of service in the U. S. Air Force from 1974-1978, Jerry lived in the Hampton Roads area. He retired as an electrician from the IBEW Local #1340, Newport News.

Jerry is survived by his brother Norman D. Wilkerson and wife Jo of Richmond, VA and his two nieces, Erin P. Wilkerson of Arlington, VA and Kathryn W. Pike of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by his dear and faithful friend Carolyn DeRyder of Hampton, who provided comfort and support to not only Jerry but his family during his lengthy illness.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21 in Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N Armistead Ave., Hampton, VA 23666.
