Thank you Peach family for being great neighbors as I grew up. Mr. Peach was always a great friend to my family, he will be dearly missed. Thank you Peach family for getting our ball out of the pool and giving my cousin and I a soft drink on hot summer days. My family could not have asked for a better neighbor. I am proud to have known Mr. Peach and his family.

Dearest Peach Family, My husband Ken, son Geoff and I were blessed to have known Mr. Peach while stationed at Ft. Monroe back in the '80's. He was the most wonderful man and was always there to help you, if needed. Once when I dropped my car off in his shop, he automatically reached for his car keys to give me a ride back home! It is with great sorrow that I say goodbye to Mr Peach.  He was an Icon in the Phoebus and Fort Monroe community.  He was well known and well loved by many. I have never met a more generous person.  I will always cherish the good times with Jim and his sons.  Thanks to Mr. Peach I had my first limo ride which I will never forget!  Rest in peace,  Mr. Peach.

Uncle Willie gone but not forgotten. There is no way on God's green earth I could ever forget you.  You were there when I needed you and even when I didn't need you.  You hooked me up time after time on my visits to Hampton...hotel rooms, VIP passes to the race, and lots of laughter and fun.  You always loved me for me and always made fun of me not being able to keep a husband and laughed when I said I was "just keeping the family tradition". Lots of fun memories..Tell my momma and daddy, I'll see them sometime when the good Lord is ready for me too...Love you always..

William always treated me so nice when I came with William's brother my brother in law Paul and my sister Shirley.  He always made me feel like one of the family. Many cherished memories will always be in my heart of family gatherings with Aunt Cathy's cooking and hospitality. My thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Cathy and the rest of the family. You will remain in my heart forever.

Jim was indeed a loyal American and a great community servant. An outstanding business owner that went beyond the normal to serve the citizens of Phoebus and the military at Fort Monroe.  He took great pride in supporting  the veterans and staff at the Hampton VA Medical Hospital.  If it was good for Phoebus and the ideals of the United States, Jim Peach was the first to give his support.

Jim Peach will always be remembered by all who worked in and around Phoebus as well as those at Fort Monroe who came by his station throughout the years.  My condolences to his wife and family and most especially to his caregiver Robin, who was the best. . a better friend will never be found. . as she cared for him faithfully and did so much above & beyond the call of duty. To the entire Peach family my sincere condolences. I met Jim on 12-16-1953 at Lackland AFB Hospital, I spent three months on the Ward, he was Head Corpsman. We immediately became friends as I was from Surry. He was a super man and made our lives much easier with him caring for us. Please contact me as I have a couple of pictures.

Mr. Jim Peach, today 7/6/15, I was deeply saddened to learn that God had called you home and left me behind.  Mr. Peach, I met you only a few years ago first as a Hampton Police Officer and later as a Virginia State Trooper where a wonderful friendship grew.  It was sad though that the two of us were parted by illnesses, but I never forgot you and although I still struggle from time to time I am thankful in the fact that a memory is a gift from God that death cannot destroy.  I am so thankful to you and Mrs. Peach for the many outings that I was taken on.  The dinners, the lunches, the breakfasts, the coffee's, and invites to the home.  As I write this a tear finds it's way down my cheek as I reflect on your memory Mr. Peach on the many laughs and fun times we had.  The past few months I have watched so many events happen in this country, yet I remember you, Mr. Peach and of all the people I have had the privilege of knowing and befriending I have never known a more proud American than you.  You so proudly flew the Garrison of this country just about everywhere and stood proud of this nation even when it seemed to be slipping into an abiss.  I thank you for your service to this Nation and for your contribution to the community and the City of Hampton.  Your broken body now soon to be placed at rest, yet your soul now renewed and made whole again as you walk among family and friends that have gone before you in the Kingdom of the Most High.  You walk tall and strong, free of all pain.  Your Golden Deeds now acknowledged by the Lord Himself.  Mr. Peach may you now find peace and rest with Honor in the place prepared for you, in Mansions of the Lord.  Farewell my Friend until we meet again.  To the Peach family, I leave this dedication to my beloved and departed friend Mr. James Peach... You were a proud veteran that served your country well, to those that would listen you had many a story to tell.
