She enjoyed most sports including bowling, golf, tennis, basketball and watching football. She loved her church and enjoyed her arts and crafts on Tuesdays. She made sugar cookies with the grandchildren and was well known for her famous peanut butter balls which she made every Christmas. Above all, she loved playing with the grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Aside from her parents, Jacqueline was preceded in rest by her husband, Robert L. Scott and her sister, Joyce Crider.
She is survived by her children, Paul Reca and wife Tara, Kevin Reca and wife Robin, Lecia Reca, Karon McArthur, and Robert Scott, Jr. and husband Brian; grandchildren, Steven Pierce, Vanessa Grey and husband Wayne, Heather Norman and husband Brian, Lauren Nicholson and husband Ben, Lucas Reca, Ashley Spruill, and Miles Spruill; great-grandchildren, Seth Pierce, Abel Pierce, Myaa Norman and Robert Grey; siblings, Millie Bauer, Dee Verdin and George Deane; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Jacqueline’s life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, December 14, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
There will be a reception at Langley Christian Church, 175 Fox Hill Road, Hampton Virginia 23669 following the interment.
