Gregory was educated in the public schools of Newport News, Virginia. He graduated from Woodside High School in the class of 2010. He pursued his passion for sports management at Norfolk State University in the spring of 2011. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons and Duke Blue Devils and a diehard fan of Lebron James. But his biggest fan of all time was his daughter Gabriel (Gabby) who stole his heart at first sight.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clarence and Doris Tucker; maternal grandfather James Broughton and step-grandfather Shelley Leroy Brent; two aunts, Carolyn Fletcher and Loretta Tucker; and one uncle, Ralph Harmon. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Gregory and Robin Tucker, Sr.; his daughter, Gabriel Tucker; two sisters, Marquita Tucker of Pocomoke City, MD and Tamara (Leland) Thompson of Yorktown, VA; and a brother, Dominique (Charlotte)Tucker of Yorktown, VA; maternal grandmother, Gladys Brent of Modesttown, VA; and a nephew, Ryan Thompson. He is also survived by ten aunts, Patsy (Printis) Drummond of Savageville, VA, Debbie (George) Crippen of Nelsonia, VA, Barrie Brown of Modesttown, VA, Lynette Taylor of Seaford, DE, Gloria Douglas of Delmar, DE, Laura Broughton of Melfa, VA, Bernice (Jeff) Wilson of Mappsville, VA, Tara (David) Knox of Temperanceville, VA, Brenda (Reginald) Marshall of Pocomoke City, MD, and Ruth (John) Leatherbury of Fruitland, MD; eight uncles, Keith Brown of Parksley, VA, Terry Taylor of Savannah, GA, Clarence Tucker of Bear, DE, Wayne (Ila) Tucker of Camden, DE, Marvin (Olivia) Tucker of Dover, DE, Ronald (Betty) Tucker of Clarksville, TN, Gary (Christine) Tucker of Salisbury, MD, Thomas (Jennifer) Tucker of Suitland, MD; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Gregory’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 29 at the World Outreach Worship Center. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
