Genevieve “Jean” Manuel, 89, a native of Jersey City, New Jersey and a 59 year resident of Williamsburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2011. She was a loving Mother and “Nana.” She was a long-time member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband “Moe” and her brother Alfred Bardzinski.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three sons, Kenneth, Edward and Wayne; two daughters, Marilyn Niver and her husband Jeff, and Denise Hobson and her husband Mickey; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and her sister Estelle Anderson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, February 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
