Esther is survived by her 3 daughters Terri Abbott of Suffolk VA, and husband Johnnie Abbott Jr, Millicent Dowling and husband Kevin of Yorktown VA, and Carol Menendez of Yorktown VA. She also leaves behind grandchildren Johnnie III, Garrett, both of Suffolk VA, Alison (Rick) Donkel of Poquoson, Ray (Crystal) Menendez of Poquoson VA, Jennifer Godfrey (Weldon) of Tennessee. She also leaves behind great grandchildren Marcus, Ethan, Christopher, Matthew, and Daniel.
She also leaves behind her cherished dog Heidi and cat Molly.
Esther enjoyed life and loved to help others, which showed through her 35 years of volunteer work with the Virginia Baptist Home.
She was a very kind soul, with a sweet and loving spirit which was felt by everyone who was around her.
Esther will continue to be cherished by all and will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday July 17th at 2:00 PM at Parklawn Wood Memorial Park, Chapel Mausoleum, located at 2551 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton VA, 23666.
