Elizabeth M. Asbury

Elizabeth Gail McDaniel Asbury (Aunt Gail), age 85, passed away on December 20, 2023 in the Memory Care Unit of Commonwealth Senior Living, Hampton, VA. She was a resident of Hampton, VA. She was born on November 30, 1938 in Wise County, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Samuel McDaniel and Mae Smith McDaniel; husband, Bill Graham Asbury; her sisters, Eva M. Edens and Sybol M. Mullins, and her brother, Samuel Douglas McDaniel. She is survived by her sister, Billie M. Fogarty of Webster, NY; sister-in-law, Doris Maxfield McDaniel of Big Stone Gap, VA, and many nieces and nephews. Aunt Gail worked for many years as a night nurse at Riverside Hospital, Newport News, VA. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Newport News, VA. A private service was held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, Hampton, VA on December 29, 2023.
