Elenita Manlutac Paulin was born on April 14, 1937 in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Philippines. She was called by Our Savior on January 3, 2013 at home where she was surrounded by her family. She was a faithful, loving, hardworking, sociable and exceptional mother.
Elenita is survived by seven daughters, Prosie and Sejei Abe of Tokyo, Japan, Annie and Elmer Javier of Sydney, Australia, Grace Paulin of Richmond, Laarni Paulin of Yorktown, Angella and David Chan of Yorktown, Leonida Paulin of Alexandria, and Maricel Paulin of Yorktown; eleven grandchildren; five brothers, Fernando Manlutac of California, Arturo Manlutac of Hawaii, Nelson Manlutac of Virginia Beach, Robert Manlutac of Hampton, and John-John Manlutac of New York City; four sisters, Erlinda Bermudez, Jeanette Enriquez, Shirley Cruz of Virginia Beach, and Caroline Viduya of Hampton; and her aunt, Pacita Calma Manlutac of Virginia Beach.
A celebration of Elenita's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 100 Harpersville Road, Newport News. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9:00 pm on Saturday, January 5, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. The second service will be held at 12:00 pm on Sunday, January 6, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
