A celebration of Ed’s life will be held 2 pm Saturday, May 25th at the Parklawn Memorial Park mausoleum chapel in Hampton, VA, to be followed by a wake at the residence of Scott and Jennifer Menzel.
In keeping with Ed's love of Hawaii and joy of life, we encourage attendees to join us in their favorite island apparel.
Edwin was born and raised in Louisville, IL to Alma and Floyd on September 14th, 1931, graduating from North Clay HS. He graduated from Southern Illinois University, and received his United States Air Force commission in 1955. He married Gertraud “Pat” on May 18th, 1957 in Ramstein AFB Chapel. Edwin served in Vietnam, and retired at Langley AFB, VA in 1976.
Edwin is preceded in death by his wife, Pat, his brother, Harlan, and his dear friend and partner, Georgiana Cox.
Edwin is survived by his son, Glenn Krutsinger, daughter-in-law, Cynthia "Cindee", and grandchildren, Aleksander "Aleks" Krutsinger and Kelsey Krutsinger, and friends, Forrest “Buddy” and David Cox.
Memorials may be given to your local PBS radio or TV station, Humane Society, SPCA, or Pet Shelter.
The family of Edwin wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Sentara Leigh Hospital, the Gardens of Virginia Beach, and Compassionate Care Hospice for their comfort and care in the last year of his life.
