Edna Frances Ferguson

She had faced some health challenges in the past few years but is now pain-free and united in Heaven with her husband and our father, Fred. They can now once again shag dance to beach music at their hearts content!

Edna was born in South Carolina but called Hampton home for 71 years. She loved her family-daughter Tracy Ferguson; daughter, Diana (Bert) Hawkes and the apple of her eye-grandson Evan Hawkes-he loved his Tayta too! She was especially close to her sister, Cathy (Hank) Feagin of South Carolina. She loved caring for her home and her yard with all its beautiful flowers!

She leaves to cherish her memory many other family members, friends and some special neighbor friends-Betty Russell-who provided her with wonderful company the last few months of her life, Terri Mares for the wonderful breakfast memories with Don, and Al Denkins for keeping her yard beautiful.

She was preceded in death by our wonderful father, Fred Ferguson; her parents; in-laws; and most recently her special friends: Chrean Brown, Don Riley, Pat Rollins and son, Billy Rollins and Gary Richards.

Our mother was kind, brave, and strong and her daughters can only hope that we can emulate these qualities daily to honor her memory.

Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2022 at the graveside at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Ave,. Hampton, VA 23666.
