My deepest sympathy is with Mr. Bill family and friends . May Almighty God  give you the strength to cope during this time of grief and sorrow. Mr. Bill was my dentist for many years. I was sorry to hear of his passings. I hope the fond memories of Mr. Bill never be forgotten.

Bill was my first employer in dentistry he and I were both just out of school. He was a great dentist and taught me a lot. We caught up with each other a few years back and realized we both left Hampton and moved to the country over the James River bridge. His passion for quality work in all his endeavors was a trademark for Bill. He will be missed . Peace love and prayers.

I’m so, so sorry for your loss, but so very happy you had Bill in your lives. I grew up with Bill as my cousin, the tickle monster. I was always happy to see him. He always made us laugh. If any good can come from this, it is a reminder that we are not guaranteed tomorrow and we need to always take advantage of today to keep in touch with family-there is no greater gift. Bill was a great example of kindness, and wanting to help others. I will always be thankful he was in my life, and for my memories of him. My heart is with you all.

It deeply saddens me of Bill’s passing.
 Bill and I shared years of memories of wonderful fellowship and hunting. 
Whether we were scouting the woods looking for deer signs or in the duck blind with Winston  waiting for the ducks to fly, we shared each other’s hopes and dreams.
He was a special person in my life and I will miss him tremendously.

Carter and Liz.....to all family and friends...praying  God's comfort and peace  today and in days ahead....looking back and treasuring the times and memories calling him Uncle Bill  and Friend!!!!

Bill was a good friend. He believed in taking care of his friends and was generous and always there to assist if you needed anything. 

My daughter was getting married in ‘22. She wanted plumes in her decorations. Oh the extent Bill went to so that we could have “all” the plumes. I swear he heard we needed “all”.  He gathered on his property, down the road, on the highway, no where was off limits for Bill.  He took care of his people and he did it well. 

We had an adventure to a bird sanctuary in NC.  Bill was so enthusiastic about all the birds and waterfowl there. His excitement with everything couldn’t have been matched by a child. His zest for life was contagious. You always smiled if you were with Bill!  My picture is from that special day. Doesn’t he look as happy as a child?

We shared a passion for all things gardening, particularly flowers. He introduced me to flower events, sales and special people. Even going to a flower sale was an adventure if you went with Bill. We had to be the first ones there. If you had to get up at 5:30 am to be the first ones there, then that’s what you did. Well, if you wanted to go with Bill you did. And doing a flower sale with Bill was a fun time. The man knew his flowers. He taught me quite a bit about gardening, nurturing, planning, what to do and what not. I will miss his excitement, enthusiasm, love and passion for all things that grow. 

Watch over us Bill.  Watch over my gardens with me. I’ll try to make you proud. Thank you for all the passion you shared. I’ll truly miss you, my friend.

Dr. Cornette.
When I hear his name I don't think of his inform dental skills or extravagant trophy room.
I think of his emus.
I am terrified of emus because of his "gracious" pets. 
When I was younger I remember visiting him and his wife. He took us on a tour of his property. After walking for what seemed 2 hours and him talking about his animals, I decided I wanted to go further up. 
At that moment I saw an emu grazing. I thought I could check him out up closer.
My mistake.
Dr. Cornette and Lisa were walking on the other side of a fence while the emu and I were having a stand off.
I first ran towards his "gracious" emu thinking it would back away because he always said "they won't mess with you". 
False.
The emu came charging at me and I went screaming and running. The crazy long neck chicken/giraffe was chasing me! After what seemed 30 minutes of terrified death (was probably 30 seconds) Lisa comes running around the corner to the other side of the fence to see what was happening. 

Dr. Cornette is standing there, hands in jean pockets, laughing. He yelled for the emu to go...which the fluffy darthvador oversized chicken listened and hopped away as if it wasn't about to peck my eye balls out of my head.
Dr. Cornette made a smart comment about me staying around Lisa while we continue our walk, and I did.


From then on, I hate emus. Especially Dr. Cornette's emus.

Unfortunately, I am not able to make it to his service. However, if I did I would be putting a stuffed emu teddy on his casket. 
As I've gotten older I've learned it's not about the legacy you leave behind, it's about the memories you've made with people. That turns into your legacy.
Dr. Cornette, I hope you are enjoying a glass of wine with some cooked duck and catching the biggest of the big animals while relishing in the hunt.

We will never forgot how overjoyed Uncle Bill was to receive the news that Ramsey Liam was going to be born near his birthday and was going to be named to honor him!

Condolences to Bill's sister Susan, his nephews and many cousins and friends. I had the priviledge of spending most of my 20's with Bill.
He was a planner, very talented dentist, visionary and as we joked
he was Daniel Boone reincarnated. Although I have not had contact in recent years I do know that he accomplished so many of his hopes and dreams. I will always be thankful for the positive things that came out of our time together! Rest In Peace Bill!

I came into the family as a scared 5 year old, after being adopted by Bill’s Uncle Bob and Aunt Dot. From the first time we met, I adored Bill. He was full of love and kindness. He came to visit us many times, and each time, he made a point of spending time with me. He took me to the movies. He took me shopping. I loved the outdoors, like Bill and our grandfather. I loved hearing his stories of his hunting trips. When Bill’s father died young, my father stepped in. When my father died, he stepped up for me when I needed advice. My heart is devastated by losing someone who held such an important place in my life.

Bill was such a kind, compassionate, and gentle man, always smiling!  His passion for life and God’s natural beauty was evident in all that he did.  He was always lending an encouraging word to those in need and generous with what God had blessed him with.  He loved Jesus as his Lord and Saviour, and shared with me the day before he died how he was trusting God’s plan for his life, and encouraged me  to have peace during some difficult and uncertain times coming up!   Our prayers will be for the many friends and family that he has left behind.  He will be greatly missed!

Bill will surely be missed. He loved hunting and love his treehouse. He was great friend to me. We had a lot good times working together on farm and his duck property. He was also a great dentist. A lot time my personal dentist tell me he need do major surgery and go to Bill he said I can fix it now. I will be praying for family because he will be missed.

Mine and Will's deepest condolence and sadness for all of our loss.  His smile and kindness will never be forgotten.  May he rest in eternal peace. We will miss Bill as a friend and his excitement over the plants and gardening.  

Until we meet again,  watch over each of us with gentle kindness.
