Oh how I miss my sweet childhood friend there is not a day that goes by I do not think of you and all the fun and silly things we did growing up together i know your precious family misses you I’m sure please kiss my momma and let her know we miss her I’m sure she is watching over you

I have had the pleasure of working with Dorothy for about 7 years. She is one of the sweetest people I have met. 
Dorothy was one of those people who would talk with you about anything and made time for her coworkers and vendors.
She will be truly missed at Food Lion.

While we never got the chance to meet you in person, my husband Jim and I have heard endless stories about you from our shared granddaughter, Hanna. She, and her mom Tasha, miss you so much and you had such an impact on their lives. Not a day goes by when Hanna doesn't mention you - even before you got sick. She's shared endless memories with us and we truly felt like we knew you. May God hold your family tight in His loving arms during this time and into the future. And if it helps, please know that Hanna is deeply loved and has a wonderful support structure around her here with family and friends. RIP . 

IVE NEVER MET SUCH A LOVING PERSON AS DOROTHY SHE AND I TALKED AT THE DINER ,SHE WAS ALWAYS SO UP BEAT AND SHE WORKED SOME FILLED IN A WHEN HE BROTHER NEEDED HELP AT THE DINER , SHE ALWAYS GIVE THE LORD CREDIT FOR HER  BEATING THE CANCER , THIS WAS A TOTAL SHOCK TO KNOW SHE IS GONE , BUT I KNOW WHERE SHE IS AND I WILL SEE HER AGAIN IN HEAVEN SHE LOVED THE LORD .SHE DID A WONDERFUL JOB IN HELPING RAISE HANNA WHO I LOVE DEARLY ALSO . ANOTHER ANGEL IN HEAVEN NOW.

If I would have known that warm August day would be the last time I saw you, I would have hugged you a little tighter. We could have danced and laughed a bit longer. I should of told you how strong, brave and beautiful I thought you were. I should have told you that you have been an amazing aunt to my daughter. One day beyond the clouds, I’ll get my chance. 
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time. 

Aunt Dorothy I didn’t think I’d be saying goodbye so soon to you . My hearts completely broken, you were one person I knew I could talk to about and everything and you did t judge me, you always tried to
Build me up when I was at my lowest , constantly telling me what a wonderful mom I was and how proud you were of me !!!! And it meant so much to me and I’ll always cherish our talks , I dreamt about you last night and it was a beautiful dream , your smile was just as bright as I remember it !!! I love you so much and will miss u tremendously, thank you for helping me cope with granny’s passing but I wasn’t prepared to deal with yours , rip you beautiful angel !!! Heaven needed another amazing person.... 

My bowling friend never would I have imagined l would not see you again.  Our bowling team was the one thing I always looked forward to on Thursday’s, we laugh and picked on one another. I will miss you and our friendship.  God needed his angel for your greatest work yet.   I will always remember the great times and it will be bittersweet  you will be greatly missed.   I know you and your dad are having a wonderful reunion. 

Mama Dorothy I'm going to miss you.  Thank you for accepting me and allowing me to spend these past 14 years with your family. You were the best grandma to Erynn. Holidays won't be the same. No more gossiping and ragging on Aaron and Andrew.  You were so pure and had one of the biggest hearts. Please keep my babies safe in heaven,  they hit the lottery to have you as their grandma. 

Dot was truly a wonderful lady!  Her beautiful smile,encouragement and love of life we will always remember!  We had a lot of fun times especially at the Ed Allens campground. Our heart and prayers to all the family.  Peace and comfort in the coming days!    Love to all!!  Gianna and Dave


Our deepest condolences to the family of our neighbor, Dorothy.  She had been a neighbor to us as long as we have lived in our neighborhood.  She always greeted you with a  wave and a smile . We are praying for comfort for the family in the days ahead. 🙏🏾

My heart is so broken knowing I will not be able to hear your voice or see ur sweet face until I reach heaven with you I will never forget our friendship growing up together going to church with ur dad and brothers and sisters on Saturday in the back of the truck, I am so thankful that I know we will see each other again someday soon in Heaven  but in the meantime hug momma for me love u my sweet Freind 

I am still shocked and saddened to hear that Dottie has passed away. The memories we shared growing up will never be forgotten. Even though we didn’t see much of each other over the years, when we did it was like time never changed. I will always remember your sweet kindness and beautiful soul. To  the family, I am so sorry for your loss.  You are all in our prayers. Dottie loved her family, you all meant the world to her. Dottie will be greatly missed. 

Dottie was one of our families dearest friends growing up and neighbor.  Ill always cherish our  days  at Syms  jr high and Pembroke high school.  As far back as I can remember she always had a smile and always showed kindness and compassion for others.  We spent lots of times rollerskating, riding in my moms car loaded down with neighborhood kids and her hanging out at our home. My mom Carol thought of her like a daughter she was my sisters best friend and will always be more like a sister in our memories. Im blessed to know she loved the Lord and we are sisters in Christ forever.   Prayers to her family whom she was so proud. She will live with Christ forever.  See you again my sweet friend in Heaven
