

Dorothy “Jean” Regina Faughnan, 91, of Hampton died Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, shy one month and one day from her 92nd birthday. She was known as an avid find-a-word puzzler, Red Hatter, court TV junkie, and Hallmark ornament collector. While she met her husband at a shoe factory in Pennsylvania, her longest occupation was wife, mother, and grandmother. The reigning matriarch of the Faughnan clan never met a vacation she didn’t like and traveled the world seeing places she only dreamed of as a little girl.
Jean was preceded in death by her son, Glen J. Faughnan Jr, her daughter by choice Janice Griffith, her son in law David Carroll, and her husband of 52 years Glen “Joe” Joseph Faughnan and leaves behind to cherish her memory; children and their spouses Diane Carroll, Jean Ann Spell, Sheri L. and John Reynolds; David Notti, Curtis Spell, sister Reva Hall; grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Lee Rosensteel , Bobbi Jo Carroll, Samantha Notti, Jacob Bartone, Miranda and Jordan Gray, Caleb Smith, and Christian and Nina Spell, and great-grandchildren, Levi and Zoie Rosensteel.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 Armistead Ave., Hampton, with the Rev.Don Phelps officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
