He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired at Ft. Monroe, Virginia after 20 years of service. He fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Christabell Beacham and his daughter, Debra Beacham.
Surviving members of his family include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Beacham; three sons, David H. Beacham, Jr., John E. Beacham and wife, Mary Anne, Ronald E. Beacham; one daughter, Brenda (Beacham) Tarr and husband, Jerry Tarr. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Jennifer (Beacham) Parsons and husband, Andy Parsons, Brittany (Beacham) Johnson, and husband Josh Johnson; one grandson, Travis Beacham and girlfriend, Megan Price; one great-granddaughter, Layla Summer; and two step-grandsons, David Tarr and Jesse Tarr.
A gathering celebrating David's life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 46 Silver Isles Blvd, Hampton, Virginia 23664.
