Curtis N. Stone, 84, passed away at home on Sunday, November 16, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bassett, Virginia and was a resident of Hampton for 38 years. Curtis worked in the tool room and was a forklift driver for Newport News Building. He retired in 1994 after 16 years of service. He was a member of All Nations Church in Newport News.
Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Stone; parents, James Henry and Linnie Dove Stone; brother, Cecil Stone; and sister, Christine Stone. He is survived by his son, James C. Stone and wife, Amanda; daughter, Mary Stone Luntsford and husband, Kino; grandchildren, Jason Stone, Levi Luntsford, Brandon Stone, Anastasia Fragala, Amber Fragala, Anya Stone, and Autumn Stone; great-granddaughter, Lillianna Fragala; brother, Frank Stone and wife, Sally; sisters, Mattie Adkins, Marie Harris and husband, Giles, and Hazel Bryrant; a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; special friend, Helen Sawyer; his Walmart family, and his beloved Chihuahua, Roscoe.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at All Nations Church, with the service follow. Entombment will be at Parklawn Memorial Park.
