Beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, step-father, and friend to many, Chris was born in Kittery, Maine, to Gordon and Barbara Langille. Except for a few years spent overseas, Chris resided in Hampton throughout his entire life. He graduated from Kecoughtan High School and went on to become a self-taught master mechanic.
Chris never met a stranger. He loved people, family, and life in general. He was an excellent mechanic, trusted and admired by colleagues, co-workers, and friends. An avid NASCAR fan, he loved restoring cars including his precious ’57 Chevy. Chris was never too busy to help family and friends, whatever their need. His faith, strength, and positive attitude throughout his long illness inspired everyone who knew him.
Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Langille. In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his wife Carrie, son Chris W. Langille, brothers Michael (Debbie) Langille and David Langille, step-daughters Christen Murphy and Madison Robles, grandchildren Emily, Ryder, and Addilyn Langille, and his faithful dog Ivy.
A memorial service for Chris will be held on Thursday December 29 at 2:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Ave., Hampton, with a light reception immediately following.
