Cheryl June Fletcher

Cheryl “Shooie” June Mixer Fletcher, a 45 year resident of Hampton, on Sunday, July 25, 2010 God decided to give her wings and bring her home to Him. She was born June 7, 1945 in Ashtabula, Ohio. At 14 years of age, she met Bobby, the love of her life. They married in 1962 and moved to Hampton in 1965.

Cheryl never met a stranger. She was everyone’s rock and was always there in time of need. Her home was always open with love. There are not enough tears to cry that can express how greatly she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hallie Frisbee; her father, Hubert Mixer; her step-mother, Arlene Mixer; her brother, Carl Mixer; and sister, Wendy Estrella.

Leaving behind to cherish her precious memory are her husband of 47 years, Robert “Bobby” Fletcher; sons, John Fletcher and his wife, Allison, Brian Fletcher and his wife, Renee and Dana Fletcher and his wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Cheri, Joshua, Blake, Ashley, Spencer, Ben, Hannah, Grant, Jensen and Taylor; nephew, Brandon Estrella and her best friend, Mary McCown.

Our hearts will never be the same.

Friends are invited to visit Thursday, July 29 from 6 to 7:30 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
