Charles Stanley Mason Jr.

Charles was the best son that any parent could ever have and was always doing something with his time. He loved his mother and father very much. He grew up a member of Grace Baptist Church, and was that person who could fix anything. He would help anyone who needed it, especially when it came to cars. He was the person everyone called because they knew he would be there. He would often take trips to Delaware and enjoyed eating at Mama Rose’s Pizza.

Charles and his father had a very strong relationship. They were partners, and worked together as commercial fishermen over the last few years. Charles was one of the most respectful people you could ever meet and he loved his family more than anything. His girlfriend and kids meant the world to him and he will be greatly missed by many.

Charles is survived by his loving girlfriend of 10+ years, Jasmine Mitchener-Mason; Daughter, Aaliyah Mason; Son, Jamahd Mitchener-Mason; Father, Charles Mason Sr.; Mother, Pamela Mason; Sister, Sherry Mason (Cory Dauterive); Grandfather, Richard "Pop" Kramer; Uncle "Bubba"; Grandmother, Rose Mason; and four nieces and nephews, Cory, Jenny, Jessa, and Jojo Dauterive. He is also preceded in death by his grandfather, James Mason; and Grandmother, Judith Kramer.

A visitation for Charles will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM, with an interment to follow the service.
