Carolyn Elizabeth Moore, 83, of Hampton, Virginia, passed away on December 5, 2024, at her home surrounded by friends and family. Born on August 10, 1941, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, she was married to Kenneth Moore for 54 years until his passing in 2019. She is survived by her sons, Brian and Craig (Vickie), granddaughter Olivia, great-granddaughter Iris, brother Ralph Campanio (Peggy), and her dog Zoey.
Carolyn was a dedicated nurse who served in the U.S. Air Force, volunteered with the American Red Cross, and was a school nurse at Bethel High School for 20 years. After retiring, she ran the Hampton Public Library's "Best of Friends" gift shop, and enjoyed gardening, recently winning Willow Oaks Yard of the Month.
Visitation will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 4-7 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hampton, on Wednesday, December 11, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hampton Public Library.
