Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fannie Davis; brothers, Everett, Lyle, Robert, Harold, Dayton, Ravonne; sister, Vivian Davis; son, Richard Davis; daughter, Beverly Wyatt; and great-granddaughter, Jenna Romonoski.
Originally from Meadowview, Virginia, Carl joined the Army at age 17 and served four years during the Korean War. After the war Carl attended Electrical Design and Engineering Apprentice School and subsequently worked for the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, CDI and Rosenblatt.
Carl had a love and passion for people, working on cars, and he was a friend of Bill for 44 years. He was a good man and a good friend to all; he never met a stranger and was never without a joke.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. David Connito, Dr. James Burton, Dr. Eric Chou, Heartland Hospice, and the staff at Bickford Senior Living. Also, special thanks to family and friends who visited, brought food and offered up prayers. We especially want to thank Marybeth Shoulders, Carl’s granddaughter, who lovingly offered her expert CNA skills in his final days.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Carl’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 19 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
