Brenda attended Taos Elementary, Taos Junior High and Taos High School from which she graduated in 1981. She enlisted in the United States Air Force immediately after graduation and served for six years. She met her husband, Clayton, also a member of the US Air Force, at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, NM and they were married on September 13, 1987. She had two stepchildren, Chris and Jessica, and was the very proud grandma of five step-grandchildren.
She was an active member of the Comanche Dancers under the direction of Francisco Gonzales for three years. She made a great impression on everyone her life touched and she never failed to make a friend of all those she met. She traveled to many places with her husband during his military service – some of these places were Korea, Italy, Panama Canal, Alaska, Maine, Montana, Idaho, Colorado Springs, Curacao, Oman, Ecuador and Virginia. Even after all these travels, she never forgot us here in her native Ranchos de Taos, and came back to visit us as often as she could.
We, Brenda’s family, appreciate all your prayers, kind words, thoughts and actions. Thank you to all of those who helped us with all of the arrangements – every one of you will be in our prayers of thanksgiving as we celebrate the life of our wife, daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and grandmother as she continues the rest of her journey in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
