Brenda Sue Griffin

She was a member of Wythe Presbyterian Church in Hampton. She graduated from Hampton High School and Thomas Nelson Community College at the age of 40, Magna Cum Laude with an Associates Degree in Social Services.

Brenda was preceded in rest by her parents, Bobby Keith and Mary Ellen Jones. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Relma “George” Griffin; son, George Thomas Griffin; daughter, Crystal Lynn Hamilton; two daughters-in-law, Lindsey Tate and Aminda Bobb (Caregiver); six grandchildren, Devon Hamilton, Mary Hamilton, Jordan Griffin, Haylee Griffin, Macey Robinson, Jacob Abbott; brother, Keith (Kay) Jones; two sisters, Donna (Ward) Moore and Norma Topping; and her faithful companion, Bella Rose.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association, 9702 Gayton Road, Richmond, VA 23238.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with a celebration of Brenda’s life to follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home.
