Betsy “Inez” Hodges passed away January 26, 2021 at the age of 82. She left this life at home surrounded by her loving family. Inez was born in Vanceboro, NC and has been a resident of Hampton, VA since 1957.
Inez was known for her cooking and love of travel. Together with her late husband, Grady Hodges, Inez traveled to all 50 states and many countries abroad. Recently, Inez has enjoyed the camaraderie of the “Leisure Ladies” women’s group.
She is survived by: a daughter, Teresa Farmer, and husband Jerry of Unicoi, TN; a son, Danny Hodges and wife Sandra of St. Augustine, FL; seven grandchildren, Travis Hodges, Hannah Hammerbach, Ashley St Amant, Kaitlyn Howard, Cory Hodges, Kaleb Hodges, and Juliana Hodges; four great grandchildren, Hunter St Amant, Rylan Hammerbach, Paige St Amant, Mackenzie St Amant, and honorary Dylan Dehart.
A private family service will be held Friday morning at Parklawn-Woods Memorial Park. The family welcomes donations to The Autism Society of Florida as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
