Barbara was an intercessor for sure. How fitting to be remembered on the National Day of Prayer! 

MeMe, the great grandmother to my grandkids. You were always the calm in my storms and the voice of reason to every situation. Thank you for always being available to help me with the kids until your health would not allow you to, thank you for always loving us and praying for you us, thank you for showing us what a woman of God truly looks like  exemplifying such Godly characteristics in your day to day living. You were  definitely a gift to the world. Job well done and a life dedicated to service....Rest well sweet lady. 

As saddened as I am by the passing of my beautiful friend, I am glad that GOD place her in my life. I have so many memories that make me smile when I think about her. Barbara was a true worshipper and a prayer warrior. I always knew that if I asked her to pray for myself or someone else, she would start immediately.  Barbara was someone that I could talk to with ease. She was always willing to listen, encourage and offer scripture to help get me through whatever I was dealing with.  And she was never judgmental . Barbara loved her family so much and always wanted the best for each and everyone of  you.  I am pray that the memories you have will sustain you all during this difficult time.

What a delightful Godly woman to work with. I had the privilege to work with Barbara at Hampton Roads OB/GYN . Her presence In the office brought a sense of peace and love. I know she prayed for all of those who worked there as well as our patients. Oh how I enjoyed our conversations of God’s grace  and mercy . She meant some much to so many. Let us celebrate her now being in the presence of her Heavenly Father, yet grieve for our Great loss of her not being amongst us. Thank you Father for gracing us with knowing Barbara, your servant. Barbara, My Dearest Sister, you have been a beautiful part of my life for more than seven decades. I remember so well the special times that you, Addie and I  shared as very young children- playing in the creek at Parry Lane, picking raspberries for mom to make homemade ice cream and waiting patiently to enjoy it; the three of us being bathed at the same time in the galvanized tub that also served as the clothes washing tub and sometimes for dishwashing as well. Helping to decorate the Christmas tree with the paper angels, crepe and aluminum ice cycles. Sleigh riding in Dead Man’s Hollow and the zaniness of our teenage years. The many trials and tribulations that we endured and survived. These are the unique experiences that forged the lifelong bonds between us and these  the things that created such a special relationship between you, Addie, Roger and me. These are the shared experiences that make us all part of each other and now that you are gone, we all have lost a piece of ourselves as well . 
Our consolation is that you will always be alive in our hearts through our memories of you and the second consolation is that we know that you now walk with Our Lord.

Where do I start? Barbara and I were cousins. We had such great times together along with another friend of ours who has passed.  We had nick names for each other.  Her name was Bartail and mine was Drake tail. We had lots of fun, and man did we laugh, I loved her laugh. Barbara kept an instant smile on her face, I can see her smile now. She was so kind  and generous, I will truly miss her. The family has my care and condolence. Love, Jackie Davis

My prayer for strength  for the entire family.  Ms Barbara  was a true prayer warrior. After she prayed you just knew it was received immediately.  I will miss her bubbly  personality and greeting  me her smile. My love to the family and know I am here for you

My heart is heavy but I know that you are in heaven looking down upon us. My best, my friend my sister for life. When we met over 12 years ago we became more than coworkers we became family.  I cherish each and every memory that we have had. To Mr. Ross and the girls thank you for sharing such a wonderful person who knew no strangers with us. We would always end our phone calls or text with good night, love you and holler back at you. So my friend, my sister see you later, love you and holler back at you.

To the family, my prayers and heart are with you on today. Mrs. Ross was truly a Proverbs 31 woman.  Not only was she a Proverbs 31 woman, but her life exemplified the love she had for Jesus Christ.  Mrs. Ross was a true worshiper, an anointed prophetic intercessor and poet, and her love and heart for her family and people was bigger than life!!  Her sense of humor and laughter could cheer up the saddest of souls, and her prayers for others always reached the throne of God because they were always answered. How do I know? I know because I am a living testimony and witness of the prayers she prayed for myself and Caleb. She was definitely a prayer warrior for the kingdom of God!! And I will truly miss her presence here in the earth. Mrs. Ross is truly loved by Caleb and myself, and will be missed without question. My heart has so much more to share but I can't tell it all, because it would be too much to share. Therefore please know that Caleb and  I love you all, we're praying for you, and are here for you. Milt, Rhinda, Adrian , I don’t have words express my sorrow at the passing of my best friend. Barbara was my sister. I miss her.  I have countless memories to cherish as time passes. As a friend of your grand daughter V’Shae i can’t express just how highly she always spoke of you, she always shared your kind words & quotes, told me about your cooking it felt as though I knew you. “Lexx my grandma made me my own little thanksgiving dinner for me and the kids!” The excitement in her voice was always over the top when she mentioned her “meme”. Although I never got the honor of meeting you in person, you were such a pleasant person to speak to over the phone. I want to thank you for the prayer you said on behalf of my grandmother just a few short months ago. I don’t know if you knew how much that meant to me. I pray that God comforts your family as they go through this difficult process. My sister, my friend and confidant.  No one will ever know how much I will miss you.  Our quiet conversations that we shared as sisters.  A thousand  great memories from our childhood.  Always keeping me uplifted in prayer and scripture.  You were my go to for this. My heart is heavy once again. Barbara was a good friend and I will miss her.  Even though we did not get a chance to speak on a regular basis, we had a great conversation earlier this year.  She was always pleasant, kind and soft spoken and eager to serve the Lord.  She will be missed!
