She was a lifelong resident of Hampton and a member of Hampton Baptist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Burns. She is survived by her five sons, Robert (Daria) Burns, Phillp Burns, Edward Burns, Arthur Burns, Douglas Burns; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Chester Brown.
