Angela Teresa Stanley

Angela, was a long time Hampton resident, and lived the last 2 years of her precious life at her residence in Newport News, Virginia.

Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and raised in Rumson, NJ, she was the loving daughter of the late Carmen P. and Emanuela "Molly" (Sorrentino) Raniere.

Angela attended Holy Cross grammar school in Rumson, NJ, and Red Bank Catholic high school in Red Bank, NJ.

Angela was very proud of her Italian ancestry and was a member of an Italian Club in the earlier years, and she enjoyed cooking Italian food, and baking. While working at a daycare/pre-school, she relished when the children called her "Teacher Angie."

An exceptional baker, she worked at Farm Fresh in the bakery department.

The last two years of her life she sang along with "Dean Martin" and played songs on the keyboard. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling with her husband, in Hampton. She adored "Elvis Presley."

Preceding her in death are her parents, her son, David E. Capps, her grandson, Mark R. Carbone, and her brother, Joseph P. Raniere.

Angela is survived by her husband, Eugene L. Stanley of Hampton, VA.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her children: Lisa M. Mottert wife of Kenneth, Michael P. Capps, husband of Pamela, Deborah A. Carpenter, wife of Joseph, and Teresa A. Scherer.

In addition, step children: Antonio G. Stanley, husband of Crystal, Leslie C. Forney, wife of Tony, Donna A. Cannon, wife of Edmond, and Renata S. Medina, wife of Yeisont.

Surviving grandchildren: Steven A. Carbone husband of Senona, Kimberly A. Shiley, Clifford (Cliff) M. Carbone, Justin J. Scherer, Matthew J, Scherer, husband of Katrina, Jeremiah J. Carpenter, Thomas R. Carpenter, Jessica L. Scherer, Edward Kelly, Jr, Timothy Kelly, husband of Jennifer, Jason Kelly, husband of Amanda, Tony T. Forney, husband of Ronni Elizabeth, Dealoe E. Forney, husband of Krystal, Mariah A. Forney, Tony L. Forney, and Vito L. Forney.

Great Grandchildren: Zachary J. Shiley, Jacob E. Shiley, Kyle J. Shiley, Ellyson J. Carbone, Coraline E. Carbone, Brenden Kelly, Rachel Key, Connor Kelly, Madison Kelly, Alana Kelly, Amelia Kelly, Anabel Kelly, Karter Forney, and Rowyn Forney.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Hampton-Veteran's Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Road, in Hampton. Officiating is Mr. Reverend Michael Z. Swisher, of Saint Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Fort Monroe, VA
