Michael was conceived by John W. Stevens on April 29, 1946 in Hamilton, Tx. Michael had a sister Carol Stevens. After Graduating from Waco Midway High School in 1964, Michael joined the United States Navy. While serving our country Michel began to see the world. On his journey he made a stop in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968. After the Navy Michael Began a career as a diesel mechanic and truck driver. He was a truck driving man. Up on one of his stops in Reynosa, Mexico he saw the love of his life! She was eating and when he approached her she grabbed her children and ran home. Being a true Texan he knew what he wanted and followed her home. After getting to the door he knocked and ask her mother for her hand in marriage. This came from a man that spoke poquito español and a woman that spoke no English. By jangles God blessed this marriage and a year later Miguel and Rosa moved to Mission, Texas. True love was being shared and then came additions to the family. Tres. My how time flies. In 1997 the family moved to North Richland Hills, Texas. Life was good. In 1999 Michael had an accident which resulted in the loss of both of his legs. This accident was a setback for a come back. Michael continued to love his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Right or wrong his love for his family never wavered. Michael will be loved by his family, friends, and neighbors.
Always remember, if you ask him how he feels? He will always say, “With my fingers”!
Smile.
