Lydia was born July 10, 1920 to Eduard and Frieda Klaus Marwitz. She was raised on the farm in Indian Gap, Texas. She was married to Harold Seibert Klatt on November 16, 1938 and lived on their farm for more than 70 years. She could make anything grow and especially loved wild flowers. She will be missed by her loving family and friends, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Martha Klatt, Louise Henkes and Hilda Goerdel and her brothers, Gussie Marwitz, Herbert Marwitz, and Bernard Marwitz. She also was preceded by her husband, Harold Seibert Klatt; her son, Waylon Klatt, and her daughter, Priscilla Fay Klatt Anderson.
She is survived by her sister, Leona Eilers and nieces, Yvonne Martin and husband, Howard Martin, Janice Canard and husband, David (Low), and Threasa Boyar and nephew, Michael Zschiesche and wife, Ernestine Zschiesche. She is also survived by her daughter, Uneeda Roberts and husband, Rodney Roberts of Richardson; son-in-law, Jesse Anderson of Keller; other daughter, Marjorie Laney of Fort Worth; and son, Randy Klatt, and his wife, Cail of Hamilton.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrea Plowman and husband, Michael of Round Rock, Amy Anderson and husband, David of Dallas, Grayson Anderson and his wife, Leah of Richland Hills, Jeffrey Roberts of Garland, and Jared Klatt and wife, Stephanie of Bryan. She is survived by step-grandchildren, Chris Nilson of Hamilton and Dorothy Nicholson of Bedford.
She is survived by numerous great-grandchildren: Alexander and Luke Anderson of Dallas, Sara Lydia Plowman of Round Rock, Grayson and Landon Anderson of Richland Hills, and Cooper and Chase Klatt of Bryan. Other step great-grandchildren include Kimberly Nilson, Cody Pardy, and Nick Nilson.
Lydia also wanted to include her surviving special friends: Dale and Connie Seals, Ossie Scott, and Judy Proctor.
Services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017, 1 PM, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aleman. Visitation will be before the service, 11 AM - 1 PM. Interment will follow across the street at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
