On Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 Jason (Jake) Hopper, loving husband and beloved father, passed away at the age of 52. Jake was born December 31st 1969 in Stephenville Texas to David and Kay Hopper.
Jake was a member of the Texas Ground Water Association. A licensed water well driller, and pump Installer, servicing multiple states, his community and surrounding areas. Jake passed down over three decades of water well knowledge and experiences to his Son River Hopper and cousin Montana Mize. His “baby girl” Summer Hopper could often be found behind a drilling rig, to support what he loved, work and family. Having family on a job site, working together made him beam with pride.
Jake enjoyed operating heavy equipment working the land, planting and harvesting gardening with his wife, ice cold beer, big bowl of ice cream, and bullshitting with friends and family. He wasn’t often found without his two beloved four legged friends, Bear and Minnie. Jake was known for his quick witted humor determination, hardworking qualities, his generosity, a humble genuine man.
Preceded in death by a daughter Dakota Hopper.
Jake is survived by his parents David and Kay Hopper of Indian Gap Texas, wife Barbara, children, Summer Hopper and River Hopper all of Hamilton Texas, sister Kandice Horton of Clyde Texas; brother Dustin Hopper of Abilene numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
