October 15th, 1965- October 10th, 2021
Janet Susan Thompson was born to George & Anna Thompson on October 15th, 1965 in Boston Massachusetts, but spent a major part of her life living in Texas.
Janet graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation and proceeded to pursue her career.
Even though Janet was blind from birth, she did not allow this challenge to inhibit her from pursuing her dreams. Janet worked at Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind, where she trained the blind to get jobs. She also worked as a telephone operator, first with Bank of America and then at Children’s Hospital in Dallas, where she retired in 2006.
Janet liked traveling and going on vacations and also had a love for dogs, especially her pet dog “Little Red”.
For most of her life after her parents went home to the Lord, Janet lived with and was cared for by her sister Laurie, who considered Janet to be a precious sister and wonderful person. Janet was close to and dearly loved by all her siblings namely Katherine, Laurie, James and Mark.
On the 10th October, 2021 Janet transitioned from time to eternity, and is now in the loving arms and presence of our Heavenly Father experiencing the fullness of His love, peace and blessings.
